Refrigeration installation works - part 1. New installation

The checklist is intended to support the development of routines for safer work.

Questions

a) Are written work and safety instructions necessary for the work?

b) Is there written permission from the employer to use a machine-operated lifting device?

c) Is the attachment equipment, machine lifting device to be taken with you in satisfactory condition?

d) What personal protective equipment should be used?

e) What first aid kit should be brought?

a) Do you work with refrigerant oil?

b) Electrical work?

c) Do you work with lifting devices, lifting equipment, and transport aids?

a) Is it functional and easy to manage?

b) Are employees provided with the necessary protection for safe work?

c) Does it have anti-slip protection (applies to ladders)?

d) Do you have assembly instructions (applies to handicraft scaffolding)?

e) Has the work platform been inspected?

a) Scale, refill rack or other equipment for weighing refrigerant amount?

b) Pressure gauge rack or separate pressure gauge? Should it be a pressure gauge rack or a separate pressure gauge?

c) Does the vacuum pump include a vacuum gauge?

d) Pressure control equipment? Is this related to the work environment?

e) Leak detector?

a) Do you always work without power when intervening in the electrical cabinet?

b) Should a lighting fixture equipped with a magnet be used that can be placed anywhere in the electrical cabinet if better lighting is needed in the electrical cabinet?

c) Kneeling or squatting? NB! Greater stress if the space is low or tight.

b) Can the blow-off air from the vacuum pump be directed outside, or is spot extraction an option? NB! The outlet hose can be utilized (max. 10 m long).

c) Is the room aired before the work continues if oil mist occurs?

a) Is oil spillage promptly cleaned up to prevent slip accidents?

b) Are absorbents used for oil spill removal? NB! The absorbent to be used can be found in section 6 of the oil safety data sheet.
